Presenting the budget, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman has made a big announcement that now the money of Minimum Support Price (MSP) will be directly transferred to the account of farmers. Earlier, MSP money used to reach the farmers through mandis and arhtiyas. This decision of the government will help in curbing corruption. Farmers will get direct benefit of this.
Presenting the budget, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman has said that the government will work to promote organic farming. The farmers doing organic farming will get a lot of benefit from this decision of the government. In the Budget 2022, it has been announced that digitization of the land of farmers' fields will also take place.
Apart from this, the government in collaboration with the state government will help those farmers who cultivate improved varieties of fruits and vegetables. Apart from this, services related to fertilizers, seeds, medicines, documents etc. will be provided to the farmers under digital service.
An allocation of Rs 1400 crore will be made for the Ken Betwa Link Project. The project aims to provide drinking water for 62 lakh people, irrigate 9.1 lakh hectares of cultivable land and generate 103 MW of electricity. With this project not only farmers but many people will get clean drinking water. With the help of this, about 20 lakh farmers of Jhansi, Mahoba, Lalitpur and Banda will get benefit.
From the Union Budget 2022-23, the government aims to connect farmers with digitization. Many farmers and common citizens will benefit from the Ken Betwa Link Project. Keeping in mind the interests of the farmers, the government has taken many positive steps in this budget.
