Farmers have to register here before selling paddy at MSP

With the harvesting of Kharif crops, the work of procurement of paddy and other crops is about to start in many states. In such a situation, the registration process has been started by the state governments for the purchase of Kharif crops on support price. In Uttar Pradesh, the procurement of paddy at MSP is going to start from October 1. Its preparations have also been completed. In the Kharif marketing year 2021-22, farmers will have to get their registration done compulsorily before selling their paddy, so that their land, paddy sown in it and bank account can be verified at the time, and they do not face any inconvenience in selling paddy at the purchasing centers. 

Where to get farmers to register for selling paddy Farmers will have to register on the Food Department's portal fcs.up.gov.in for the sale of paddy at paddy purchasing centers. According to the information received from the Department of Food and Logistics, this registration can be done by the farmer himself or through Public Information Center or through cyber café.

The registration of farmers will be done on the basis of their Aadhaar number and OTP sent on the Aadhaar link mobile number of the farmer at the time of registration. In case the farmer himself is not present at the purchasing centers at the time of sale of paddy, it will be mandatory for the farmer to feed his family member's details and Aadhaar number at the time of registration. Payment to the farmers will be done within 72 hours After the purchase of paddy in the state, payment of the price of paddy to the farmers will be done through PFMS of the Government of India.

Paddy will be done through the portal within 72 hours of purchase. If the procurement agencies withhold the money of the farmers or delay the payment, then action can be taken against them. They can be taken out of the procurement process. What is the minimum support price of paddy for this year Central government declares minimum support price for 23 crops including Kharif and Rabi crops every year. 

This price is applicable for all the states of the country equally. This year, the minimum support price of normal paddy is Rs.1940 per quintal, while the MSP of Grade-A paddy is Rs.1960 per quintal.
