The Rajiv Gandhi Kisan Nyay Yojana is being run by the Bhupesh Baghel government of the Congress in the state of Chhattisgarh with the objective of providing financial assistance to the farmers to buy inputs. These farmers include 9.54 lakh marginal farmers, 5.60 lakh small farmers and 3.21 lakh large farmers. Under this scheme, financial assistance is provided on 14 crops. Under the scheme, the benefit of input subsidy is given to the farmers. In order to make the benefits of Nyay Yojana reach more and more farmers, the Chhattisgarh government has made partial changes in the guidelines of the scheme to overcome the problems faced by the farmers in registration under this scheme. The state government believes that lakhs of farmers of the state will benefit from the partial amendment in the guidelines of Rajiv Gandhi Kisan Nyay Yojana.

The guidelines of Rajiv Gandhi Kisan Nyay Yojana have been partially amended by the Ministry of Agriculture. Under this, the obligation of farmers to give an affidavit for registration has now been abolished. Joint account holder farmers will now have to give only self-declaration form for registration. Registration of joint farmer account holder will be done through numberdar. The state government believes that this will give relief to the farmers from the affair of the court and notary and unnecessary expenditure burden of crores of rupees.
Reasons behind amending the guideline
In the issued guideline of Rajiv Gandhi Kisan Nyay Yojana, a provision was made to submit consent-cum-affidavit of all account holders and other necessary records along with the application for registration of joint account holder farmers, which has now been deleted, because the oath The farmers were coming to get the letter made. When this matter came to the notice of Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel, he directed Agriculture Minister Mr. Ravindra Choubey to amend the guidelines of the scheme as much as possible and give relief to the farmers. Farmers will have to register for these crops
- Under the revised order issued by the Ministry of Agriculture in this regard, to take advantage of the Rajiv Gandhi Kisan Nyay Yojana, such farmers who had registered for the sale of paddy at the minimum support price in the Kharif year 2020-21, those farmers need to be registered under the scheme is not needed.
- The main crops Maize, Kodo-Kutki, Soybean, pigeon pea and Sugarcane producing farmers to get registered under the scheme.
- In the Kharif year from the area from where paddy was already sold at MSP, if he plants other crops included in the scheme in lieu of paddy in that area, he will have to be registered under the scheme.
- To take the benefits of Rajiv Gandhi Kisan Nyay Yojana, farmers can register themselves in the scheme till 30 September.
What is Rajiv Gandhi Kisan Nyay Yojana (Rajiv Gandhi Kisan Nyay Yojana 2021)
In the year 2019, the Rajiv Gandhi Kisan Nyay Yojana in the name of former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi was started by the Bhupesh Baghel government of the state. The benefit of input subsidy for Kharif crops will also be given to the farmers under the Nyaya scheme by the Chhattisgarh government. According to this, in the year 2020-21, the farmers who had sold paddy on support price, if instead of paddy, they produce Kodo Kutki, cane, tur(pigeon pea), maize, soybean, other pulses, oilseeds, aromatic paddy, other fortified paddy crops. or plantation, he will be given an input subsidy of Rs 10,000 per acre instead of Rs 9,000. Those who planted trees will also get this grant for 3 years.
The state government has taken another important decision, under which in the Kharif year 2021-22, along with paddy, all the major Kharif crops of maize, soybean, sugarcane, kodo kutki and tur will also get input at the rate of Rs 9000 per acre per year. Subsidy will be given. The Chhattisgarh state govt has fixed the MSP of Kodo-Kutki at Rs 3,000 per quintal.
