The assessment of the damage caused to the crops of farmers due to rain and rising water level of rivers has started. After the order of the Additional District Magistrate, the survey is going on in Tehsil Sadar, Bilaspur, Shahbad and Swar, while Tanda and Milak Sub District Magistrates have not received orders to conduct the survey. After this survey, compensation will be given to the affected farmers, so that they can get some relief.
The crops on the banks of the Kosi river were ruined due to the rain in the hills and plains a few days ago and the water in the Kosi river. Whereas, the crops of Mentha and Maize have also suffered a lot. In the fields of many farmers, the mentha crop was submerged in water, while the chilli crop has also suffered. In such a situation, farmers are worried due to the failure of crops.
To provide relief to the farmers, the administration has started conducting a survey of the destroyed or damaged crops. After the order of Additional District Magistrate, Finance and Revenue Rambharat Tiwari, information is being made about the area and type of crop of the farmers by identifying the farmers in Tehsil Sadar, Bilaspur, Swar and Shahbad.
The survey work is being done at the level of the accountants. After the survey is completed, the report will be sent to the DM through SDM and then the affected farmers will be able to get compensation. At the same time, Deputy District Magistrates Milak and Tanda have not received the orders of the ADM, due to which the survey work has not started in their area. The Deputy District Magistrates of both the tehsils said that as soon as the order is received, the survey of the damaged crops will be started.
