.Let us tell that thousands of farmers in Madhya Pradesh are troubled by Nilgai, wild boar and monkeys. These animals cause great damage to crops. Farmers have appealed to the government many times in this matter. For this the Chief Minister Khet Suraksha Yojana has now been prepared. According to the State Horticulture Minister Bharat Singh Kushwaha, under the Mukhyamantri Khet Suraksha Yojana, subsidy will be given to the farmers for chain fencing on the farm to save the crop from stray animals.
This scheme will be implemented after getting approval in the cabinet. The farmers who cultivate horticulture crops will first get the benefit of this scheme. In order to give the benefit of chain fencing scheme to the farmers, the Horticulture Department has proposed four categories of grants. In which 70% subsidy will be given on 1 -2 hectares, 60% on 2-3 hectares, 50% on 3 -5 hectares and 40% on more than 5 hectares to farmers.
It is noteworthy that these wild animals cause great damage to crops in Chhatarpur, Panna, Neemuch, Ratlam, Raisen, Vidisha, Narsinghpur, Chhindwara and Betul districts belonging to Malwa-Nimar, Bundelkhand and Gwalior-Chambal regions of the state. To stop them, farmers make many efforts like tying sari on the bund, bursting firecrackers, playing loudspeakers and running sound fans, yet the crops are damaged.
The farmer of Dhar district had told the Prime Minister the pain: It is pertinent to mention here that in the discussion held with the Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi on 25 December 2020, Shri Manoj Patidar, a farmer of village Chikaliya in Dhar district, expressed the benefits of the new agricultural law. And while giving information about getting the amount of Kisan Samman Nidhi 5 times, he told the Prime Minister that a lot of damage is done by the wild animal Nilgai in his fields.
To this the Prime Minister said that this is true. Wild animals damage farmers' crops. He said that when I was the Chief Minister in Gujarat. Even then I had a problem. Since then, the Horticulture Department of Madhya Pradesh was brainstorming to solve this problem.
