The Guidelines and the notification of Production Linked Incentive Scheme for Food Processing Industries have been published on the website of the Ministry www.mofpi.nic.in. Applications are being invited from food processing industry manufacturers desirous of getting incentives / grants in the scheme. According to the Union Food Processing Industries Minister Shri Narendra Singh Tomar, the Government of India has approved the Production Linked Incentive Scheme for food processing industries during the years 2021-22 to 2026-27 with a budget of Rs 10,900 crore. The Ministry has issued detailed guide lines.
An online portal for the scheme has also been started by Minister Tomar. Detailed guidelines of the scheme are on the website of the Ministry, www.mofpi.nic.in. Online portal: Available at https://plimofpi.ifciltd.com.
The Ministry of Food Processing Industries is inviting applications from applicants from three categories to receive sales-based incentives and grants for undertaking branding and marketing activities abroad under the scheme:
Category-I
In this category the applicant can also start branding and marketing activities abroad and can apply for grant under the scheme.
Category II
SME applicants manufacture innovative / organic products that apply for PLI incentives on a sales basis.
Tier-III
Applicants applying for grants only to start branding and marketing activities abroad.
Grant
Applicants will be given subsidy at the rate of 50% of the expenditure on branding and marketing abroad, 3% of the maximum food products sales or Rs 50 crore. Per year, whichever is less. The minimum expenditure for branding abroad is Rs. 5 crores over a period of 5 years. Will happen.
