The government will give Awards (honors) to farmers producing paddy, potatoes, fruits as well as goat and fish farming farmers. At the block level in four categories, 2136 farmers will be given 10-10 thousand rupees under the Kisan Shree Award. At the district level, 152 farmers will be given 25-25 thousand rupees under the Kisan Gaurav Award.
Four farmers at the state level will be given 50-50 thousand rupees under the Kisan Shrestha Award. Farmers with higher production and productivity will be selected for this award. In every block, one farmer in each of the four categories will get the award. Selection will be done by experts in crop harvest reports and other categories.
The Department of Agriculture has sought online applications for the award from various categories of farmers for the year 2020-21. The application for the Kharif crop has been sought by 30 November. Applications have been sought from farmers from 25 November to 25 December for crop and horticultural crops. One can apply for goat farming (Black Bengal) from 25 November to 20 December. You can apply for fisheries from 15 February to 15 March 2021.
