EU aims to reduce the use of chemical pesticides by 2030 and at least reserve 25% of land for Organic Farming. They will plant an extra 3 billion trees during the next 10 years.
According to them, agriculture activity generates around 10% greenhouse gas emission and the use of antimicrobials should be reduced by 50 percent for fishery and animal farming.
They also estimate to increase organic farming will increase 10-20 % jobs as compared to traditional farming.
The environmental and climate change issue and disasters reducing the EU GDP by up to 2% and the world lost an estimated 3.5-18.5 trillion euros per year from 1197-2011. Also the 5-5 -10.5 trillion euros from land degradation every year.
They finally accept too much meat consumption and producing will hurting human health. Destroying nature and climate affected by a human is also a factor of this type of activity.
Greenpeace unmarked five million euros only for advertising beef for this year and they spend 28-32 million euros on livestock and feed production every year. Whereas more than 70% of all EU agriculture land dedicated to feeding livestock.
