Weather forecast for the next three days from 23rd May to 25th May 2020.
As we know that due to Amphan there is huge damage in West Bengal. Some people had lost their life. Today we are going to read about the weather forecast and agriculture advisory for farmers so they can protect their crops. Weather is very important for farmers.
Moderate to heavy rain observed in Eastern and Southern parts of the country during the last 48 hours and very heavy rain with high speed of cyclone in West Bengal, Orissa, and Some parts of Jharkhand. Whereas light rain is observed in Northeast India.
According to the IMD Moderate to heavy rain may occur over Assam, Meghalaya, and Arunachal Pradesh during the next three days. Whereas light to moderate rain may occur over Jammu, Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, West Bengal, Kerala, and some more parts of Northeast India. Isolated rain may occur over some parts of Punjab, Karnataka, and Tamilnadu.
Heat Wave condition may occur over Rajasthan, Haryana, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Gujrat, Telangana and Andhra Pradesh during next three days. The maximum temperature in some parts of the country is above 40-degree Celsius and reach up to 45-degree Celsius in Western and Central parts of the country.
Agriculture Advisory for the farmers
Farmers are advised to provide irrigation in standing crop fields like vegetables, pulses, and Horticulture crops during the evening time to reduce heat stress.
Complete the sowing of cotton in northern and central parts of the country.
Farmers can start the nursery preparation of the paddy crop.
Farmers can start the land preparation of Maize, Bajra and Guar crop in Northern parts of the country.
Early cotton sowing farmers apply weeding and hoeing in cotton. Apply irrigation in 30-35 days old cotton.
Disease and pest attack may occur over vegetables like Tomato, Brinjal, Okra, and pulses like mung and urad so monitor the crop regularly.
