According to the India Meteorology Department continued moisture incursion to eastern and north-eastern parts of India from Bay of Bengal favorable position of an Anticyclone circulation at lower levels and associated with strong winds. During the next five days moderate to heavy rain may continue over Eastern and northeast India.

Moderate rain with thunder squall and hailstorm at isolated places may occur over West Bengal, Sikkim, Odisha, Jharkhand, Bihar, and northeast India.
Light to moderate rain may occur over southern India along with coastal areas like Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Tamilnadu, Puducherry, and Karaikal. Whereas light rain at isolated places may occur over Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Uttrakhand, Punjab, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, and Madhya Pradesh.
If we see the temperature for the next few days the maximum temperatures are expected to be below normal by 1-3 degrees Celsius over most parts of the country except Kashmir, Kokan and Goa, south Odisha, and adj southeastern coast of India where it is expected above normal by 1-3 degree Celsius.The remaining parts of the country will remain dry.
Agriculture advisory for Farmers
- Farmers are advised to before storage, grains clean them should be dried up to 12%. The harvested grain keeps at safer places.
- Farmers are also advised to complete the sowing of green manure, green gram, cluster bean, Senai, Gwar, etc and fodder crops jawar, Maize, Bajra may be done during this week.
- Farmers are also advised to apply FYM in the field before sowing of Kharif crop to maintain soil fertility and increase production. You can read about FYM by clicking on the highlighted text.
- Farmers can start the field preparation for the sowing of pigeon pea and cotton in this week and can sow the cotton early variety during clear weather and purchase a good quality of seed. You can see the good quality of cotton variety for clicking on the highlighted text.
- Farmers which are doing vegetable farming are advised for the harvesting of mature vegetables in morning and evening hours and keep harvested crops in shadow. Provide light irrigation in vegetables and in garlic and onion crops during the evening time to protect the crop from high temperatures and in onion and garlic before digging.
- Pest and disease attacks may occur over Okra, Tomato, Brinjal, and Cucurbitaceous vegetables. Please monitor them regularly if pest symptoms appear to take a precaution.
