During the last week, the rain and hailstorm happen in Many areas of Haryana. In Haryana, there will be a special arrest for the damage done to mustard, wheat and cash crops due to rain and hail. Agriculture Minister Jayaprakash Dalal has issued instructions to the Department of Agriculture. Insurance companies will assess the loss of crops for the farmers who have got crop insurance and will give the same compensation. The government will give compensation for crop loss to farmers who have not been insured. Congress President Kumari Selja has demanded compensation for crop loss to farmers within twenty days.
Agriculture Minister JP Dalal has appealed to the farmers to form an agreement with the district administration and give correct information about the loss and apply it to the agriculture department to compensate for the loss of crops within three days. Along with this, copies of Aadhaar card, related land, documents of insurance and bank passbook will have to be submitted along with the prescribed proforma. Only then will compensation for hail damage be received soon.
Apart from hailstorm which lasted for about 25 minutes, heavy rains have caused major damage to Mahendragarh, Rewari, Charkhi-Dadri, Bhiwani, Jhajjar and Nuh districts due to heavy rains. The mustard crop was ready in these areas, which was to be harvested after one week. Vegetables and wheat have also suffered a lot. Wheat has been spread in many places. Hail havoc in Khol and Jatusana blocks of Rewari district, Mahendragarh, Atteli and Kanina blocks of Mahendragarh district. In southern Haryana, farmers are expected to profit from mustard, which has been completely watered.
