Zero budget natural farming will now be done in all the jails of Haryana state. This campaign was launched from Rohtak District Prison by Gujarat Governor Acharya Devvrat and Haryana Electricity and Jail Minister Chaudhary Ranjit Singh.
Acharya Devvrat told reporters that the prisoners in Rohtak Jail were given training in Zero Budget Natural Farming. The detainees take a keen interest in this training and hope that when people return to their homes, they will work to increase income by adopting zero budget farming in their villages.
30 acres of cultivation possible from a native cow
Acharya Devvrat said on Tuesday that the zero budget is completely different from natural agriculture, organic agriculture. The basis of organic farming is the manure of dung and earthworms. To meet the requirement of nutrients in crops, a lot of dung or earthworm manure is required which is not possible for any farmer. In organic agriculture, 20 to 25 animals are required in one acre of cultivation to meet the nutritional content of crops like paddy, wheat, and maize, whereas in zero budget natural agriculture it is possible to cultivate 30 acres from a native cow. In addition, the earthworm species (Eugenia Florida) used to prepare earthworm manure does not eat the soil and makes it naturally fertile by pruning in the ground, but it is only the dung and wood material Uses as food.
Native earthworms eat nutrients from the ground and transport them to the roots of plants.
In contrast, native earthworms do all this work themselves and feed on the nutritive elements from the bottom surfaces to the roots of the plants. This increases the physical, chemical and biological properties of the land significantly. These activities of native cow dung, cow urine, and native earthworms can be clearly seen on the agricultural farm of Gurukul Kurukshetra. Scientific research globally suggests that exotic earthworms, which prepare earthworm fertilizers, increase the number of heavy elements (nickel, mercury, lead, chromium, etc.) in the land and provide plants that can be used for humans and other organisms. It is extremely deadly. Acharya Devvrat said that zero budget farming will fulfill Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi's goal of doubling farmers' income by 2022. Acharya Devvrat gave credit to electricity and prison minister Chaudhary Ranjit Singh for starting zero budget natural farming in jails and said that this campaign has started in jails only with his efforts.

He said that Chaudhary Ranjit Singh has worked to advance this mission through the Jains through the jails. He said that Chief Minister Manohar Lal has also appreciated zero budget farming and the state government is moving in this direction. Acharya Devvrat said that fifty thousand farmers in Himachal Pradesh and 1.5 lakh farmers in Gujarat and five lakh farmers in Andhra Pradesh have been associated with this method and farmers in different parts of the country have adopted this farming.
About 12 thousand farmers will be trained in Kurukshetra
He said that a one-day meeting on zero budget farming will be held on 12 March in Gurukul Kurukshetra. Apart from Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal, Agriculture Minister JP Dalal and MLAs will participate in this meeting. Apart from this, a five-day residential camp will also be organized in Gurukul Kurukshetra from April 1 to April 5, in which about 12 thousand farmers will be trained. Electricity and Jails Minister Chaudhary Ranjit Singh said that a link has been found through the jails which will serve to deliver the Zero Budget Natural Farming Mission to the village. He said that Zero Budget natural farming has started in Rohtak Jail and this will be done by the prisoners in all the jails of the state.
