Zero budget natural farming will now be done in all the jails of Haryana state

Zero budget natural farming will now be done in all the jails of Haryana state. This campaign was launched from Rohtak District Prison by Gujarat Governor Acharya Devvrat and Haryana Electricity and Jail Minister Chaudhary Ranjit Singh.

Acharya Devvrat told reporters that the prisoners in Rohtak Jail were given training in Zero Budget Natural Farming. The detainees take a keen interest in this training and hope that when people return to their homes, they will work to increase income by adopting zero budget farming in their villages.

30 acres of cultivation possible from a native cow

Acharya Devvrat said on Tuesday that the zero budget is completely different from natural agriculture, organic agriculture. The basis of organic farming is the manure of dung and earthworms. To meet the requirement of nutrients in crops, a lot of dung or earthworm manure is required which is not possible for any farmer. In organic agriculture, 20 to 25 animals are required in one acre of cultivation to meet the nutritional content of crops like paddy, wheat, and maize, whereas in zero budget natural agriculture it is possible to cultivate 30 acres from a native cow. In addition, the earthworm species (Eugenia Florida) used to prepare earthworm manure does not eat the soil and makes it naturally fertile by pruning in the ground, but it is only the dung and wood material Uses as food.

Native earthworms eat nutrients from the ground and transport them to the roots of plants.

Potato Storage Problem in India and their Solution

In terms of potato production, India is second place in the world after China and our farmers produce about 400 lakh metric tons of potatoes every year with their tireless hard work. Potato production in our country has been increasing day by day since independence. Major credit for this also goes to the Central Potato Research Institute which has so far developed fifty potato varieties according to different climatic zones. A growing problem has also arisen due to this growing potato production and that is the storage of potatoes. We know that potato contains about 80 percent water and maintaining such a crop is not less of a challenge. For this, many such technologies have been developed by the institute to address the problems of potato storage. In most parts of the country (85 percent of the plains) potato is excavated in the months of February-March, which is followed by the summer season. In such a situation, there is a possibility of excessive loss of potatoes, so potatoes are usually kept in cold stores. We can see and understand the problem of storage and its diagnosis according to different uses:

Storage of potatoes for seeds:
It is very important to save potato seeds from one crop to another, which is about 7-8 months time interval. It is considered most convenient to store seeds in cold storage.

Importance and Method of Seed Treatment for Kharif Season

Just like seed selection is important for a good crop, it is equally important to treat the seeds. Continuous scientific progress in modern farming can be benefited only when pure and good quality seeds of improved varieties are selected and sown before sowing. Seed treatment is a very important process to increase the germination of seeds, protect from pests and diseases. Mostly, farmers do crop sowing without doing seed treatment, so crop production is likely to be 8-10% less. There is a need for publicity for the farmers to adopt the important process of seed treatment so that information about its benefits in the crops should reach the farmers. The Government of India and the State Government are working to promote 100 percent seed treatment. In which Agricultural University, Agricultural Science Center, Atma, Industrial Organization and NGO. Together they are playing an important role.

Dust treatment method: - Under this, seed treatment is done with dried powder or powder. Seed treatment by Carbendazim for example.
Karma /slurry treatment method: - The use of a mixture of water-soluble powder is called karma/slurry treatment.
Fluid treatment method: - The use of chemicals used in liquid form is called fluid treatment.

Dry  Method:
To treat the seeds under this method, an appropriate amount of seeds and medicine are put in plastic drums and rotated for 10-15 minutes. Due to which the light layer of medicine evenly climbs over the seed.
